YOUR HAIR ANALYSIS INTERPRETATION
Date Format: MM slash DD slash YYYY
Welcome to your initial hair mineral analysis report
In this report, you will find a detailed review of the major hair analysis patterns on your mineral analysis chart.
Hair Analysis is a very powerful method of seeing your mineral makeup in the present. What many people are unaware of is that your cells are the powerhouses of the body. Blood, on the other hand, is a buffered system, meaning that the body has to keep it in balance as much as possible. Therefore when toxins accumulate, the body tends to remove these quickly from the blood andshunt them into the cells. As a result, by analyzing the cells we are able to not only see the health of the cells, but we can get a good understanding of the toxic metal build up in the body that is often challenging to ascertain testing methods.
However, not only can we view toxic metal accumulation but we can also see a plethora of other very interesting and important patterns that can aid us in creating a powerful healing programme. We can study things like the metabolic rate, blood sugar and carbohydrate imbalances, energy production, the health of the adrenal glands, thyroid glands, and others. We can also see things like unhealthy personality tendencies, lifestyle imbalances, overthinking, chronic fight or flight reactions, and even whether people have a more spiritual orientation to life. In-fact the more we learn about the mineral makeup of the body the more patterns we discover.
We have discovered literally 100's of Hair Analysis Patterns assessing health on both the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and even lifestyle levels.
Please read this report carefully and we wish you well on your journey to health and happiness.

JOY PATTERNS
Any pattern that is in an ORANGE colour and has a sunshine icon (like above), we call JOY patterns. If you have a joy pattern on an initial hair test usually this is because one feels optimistic about starting a program and/or something in their life is going in a positive direction for them.
However, joy patterns are the most important on retests. Please focus on these patterns as they are strong indicators of great positive changes in healing and development.

YOU HAVE A HEALTHY CALCIUM/MAGNESIUM RATIO
In general the calcium/magnesium ratio is called the sugar ratio. A healthy ratio is a good sign that your body is currently tolerating your sugar intake well at the moment
-
AN ELEVATED CALCIUM/MAGNESIUM RATIO.
Dr. Eck called the calcium/magnesium ratio the sugar and carbohydrate tolerance ratio because a high ratio, he felt, indicated that a person was eating excessive carbohydrates in the diet. These foods are most all fruits, juices, sweets, starches, grains, dried beans and a few vegetables such as potatoes, sweet potatoes and yams. Milk is also a very sweet food.
Overeating on these “fuel” foods can imbalance the delicate ratio between body structure and body movement or solubility. In most people, overeating on carbohydrates involves eating white flour and refined sugar, both of which have had most of their magnesium stripped away.
An important note about this diet-related ratio. One person may “tolerate” many more carbohydrates than another. Thus, the calcium/magnesium ratio is not a measure of the exact quantity of carbohydrates in the diet. That which is too much for one person may be perfectly fine for another person whose carbohydrate tolerance is higher due to better health or other factors.

A HIGH SODIUM/POTASSIUM RATIO
Sodium and potassium are mainly regulated by the adrenal hormones aldosterone and cortisol. A high
sodium/potassium ratio on a hair analysis is an indicator of a relatively greater secretion of aldosterone (sodium) in relation to cortisol (potassium). The adrenal glands in general are over working, we tend to see this as a more postive indication of health rather than a low Na/K ratio.
A high Na/K generally represents more forward thinking, future orientated person. It is certainly more positive than a low Na/K. However a high sodium/potassium ratio is associated with several conditions, including acute stress, inflammation, and sometimes a zinc or magnesium deficiency.
This pattern also may indicate the emotion of anger, or an aggressive personality.
You can quantify a Na/K ration to show its severity. Below is the severity of your high Na/K the higher the severity the more chances you have of experiencing the symptoms related to a high Na/K

HIGH NA/K RATIO X5
This ratio is very high and it is likely you have some of the symptoms related to a high Na/K ratio like inflammation, anger and acute stress
-
LOW SODIUM/POTASSIUM RATIO
A low sodium/potassium is arguably the most important imbalance on a hair mineral analysis test. It is an indicator of a lowered vitality and impaired electrical balance within the cells. It can certainly make you feel terrible and is an important ratio to focus on in order to feel much better.
One stumbling block for alot of people is to supplement zinc. When you have a low sodium/potassium ration which is very common, zinc actually lowers this ratio. Therefore it is very important not to supplement with extra zinc in order to improve the ratio.
A low na/k is related to adrenal axhaustion, infections and impaired sugar and carbohydrate tolerance. In turn the body is unable to properly burn glucose which causes the body to cannibalize body proteins which contributes to many detrimental conditions. As a result tissue breakdown is common with those whom have a low na/k ratio.
The pattern is also associated with liver and kidney stress, allergies and impaired digestion. Balancing this ratio is a major focus of the Development Program.

THE OXIDATION RATE
The oxidation rate basically means how quick your body burns food, or how fast it converts food into energy. It is similar to metabolism. There are 3 types of oxidation rate. Slow, fast, and mixed. Extreme slow and extreme fast is not a healthy metabolism to be in. Most adults should be slow oxidizers, most babies are fast. A healthy oxidation rate is mild slow or mild fast. One of the biggest aims of the Development Program is to balance out the oxidation rate. By doing so energy is released consistently over a long period which means the person is much more stable, healthier and happier.
Breif oxidation rate summary
If someone's oxidation rate is too slow they feel very fatigued, lethargic, depressed, and have a malaise. They also often have sugar cravings, constipation, dry skin, and other problems. It is characterized by weak adrenal glands and thyroid glands which often causes many of their symptoms.
If someone's oxidation rate is too fast often the opposite occurs but in a very unhealthy way. A persons body is running too fast or too rich. It is like driving down the highway right over in the fast lane. It causes anxiety, irritability, paranoia, inability to feel relaxed, and other problems. Fast oxidizers have tendency for inflammation, high blood pressure, oily skin, and frequent bowel movements. Fast oxidation is characterized by an overactivity of the adrenal and thyroid glands.
Mixed Oxidation basically means the body sometimes acts like a slow and sometimes acts like a fast. Often it is a transitory period and an individual will either fall into slow or stay in fast.
-
Your oxidation rate is MILD SLOW
Mild slow oxidation is a good oxidation rate you may experience some mild symptoms of slow oxidation below.
Symptoms. Those with a slow oxidation rate tends to be tired, apathetic, depressed and even despairing and suicidal if their oxidation rate is very slow. Some are emotional as their copper level rises. Some are also anxious, although fatigue and depression are more common. Many use stimulant foods, drugs or other methods to keep going.
Their blood sugar and blood pressure tend to be low, at least until later in life when they can develop arteriosclerosis and diabetes, which raise these levels. They are often cold and do not sweat easily. Their brains often work slowly, and many have brain fog, spacey thinking, and slower thinking.
They usually have dry skin and dry hair, and many complain of constipation. They often gain weight on the hips and legs, while the upper body may be smaller. Most have underactive thyroid glands, especially the women. They are prone to osteoporosis, cancer, infections, skin problems, and many other health conditions.

Your oxidation rate is MILD FAST
Mild fast oxidation is not a bad oxidation, a good oxidation type is mild slow or mild fast. However adults are usually in slow oxidation so it may be an indicator of some slight stress, you may have mild symptoms of fast oxidation written below.
Symptoms. Those with a fast oxidation rate tend to be anxious, irritable, in a hurry, and aggressive if their oxidation rate is very fast. They are usually somewhat emotional, short-tempered and high-strung. They easily become anxious and wound up, and may need sedative drugs to slow down.
Their blood sugar can be on the high side due to higher cortisol levels. Their blood pressure tends to be on the high side because of salt and water retention. For the same reason, their tissues often have a watery appearance.
They are often warm and sweat easily. Their brains often work well, with fast thinking.
They usually have oily skin, and some tendency for frequent or loose bowel movements. They may gain weight in the area of the abdomen due to high levels of cortisol and cortisone.
They are in a fight-or-flight mode too much of the time. This uses up certain nutrients and eventually can result in symptoms and illnesses associated with this metabolic type. These include high blood pressure, fatal heart attacks, anxiety, panic attacks, arthritis, and others.

RETEST NOTES
Welcome to the retest notes section. The best way to look at retests in the Development Program is to see them as 'the next step'. Improvements come in many shapes and sizes and even tiny changes on a hair analysis can mean big things. It's best not to read too much into the test without speaking to a professional. Often people think they have not made many improvements yet they actually have. Remember, the test needs to be read as a story and as a whole, targetting down on one number like the copper level, for example, is not the best way to view retests
Retests are important checkpoints on a program, we do retests to see how the body chemistry has changed over a certain period. Sometimes there are big changes on a test, sometimes there are little, the most important thing is that you are moving forward and even getting a retest in the first place is a big step forward.
Some people feel worse when their retest comes through. At times this is because the program needs changing. One may have switched metabolic types or a mineral ratio has flipped. In these cases, old supplements are no longer serving an individual (because often they have done their job) so new supplements are needed or a change in the diet is needed to balance out a persons mineral levels further.
Other people may be 'dumping' a lot of heavy metals which is causing them to not feel good, again, this is actually a positive sign as we want the metals to come out of the body, by seeing a large nickel dump for example on a test will often be the reason why someone may have been having negative thought patterns recently and it tends to put a person much more at ease when they realise it's not them with the bad thoughts, instead it was caused by a metal release
Sometimes it may appear people have not had much progress. Often in reality they have underneath, we can see this from slight changes on the test. Other people may have had a very stressful period in their life where their bodies energy was used up elsewhere, for some they may not have committed too well to certain aspects of the program and it could be holding them back a little. Whatever the situation is, as we say, all we care about is 'the next step' and that is what's the most important

DOUBLE 3UP PATTERN
A double 3up pattern means 3 of the first 4 minerals on a hair analysis sheet have increased and 3 of the second 4 minerals have also increased
This is a positive pattern and is similar to a coming alive pattern, just not as strong.

MAGNESIUM GETTING HELP
please note, the only way to verify this pattern is asking Dr Wilson through your advanced practitioner
Getting help pattern. It is rare to find a magnesium shell present by itself. One situation in which the magnesium level can temporarily rise very high, with or without the calcium level rising as much, is the intervention we call “getting help”. This is not a magnesium shell, however. It is a magnesium elimination.
In this situation, the body usually reacquires a soul in its energy field. Along with this, the hair magnesium rises because an inferior magnesium compound is eliminated from the body and is replaced with a higher quality magnesium compound in some enzyme binding sites.

STILL IN SPIRITUAL DEFENSIVENESS BUT IMPROVEMENT FROM LAST TEST - (IMPROVED LIFESTYLE STRESS)
This is a very interesting hair mineral analysis pattern. I call it the lifestyle pattern, or out of integrity pattern.
Definition. The pattern is present whenever the calcium/magnesium ratio in a hair sample that has not been washed at the laboratory is greater than 13.5:1. The higher the ratio above 13.5, the more important is the imbalance.
Basic meaning. When this pattern is present on an initial or a retest hair analysis, it indicates that something in a person’s lifestyle or outer life is interfering with health.

FOUR LOWS RETEST DIGGING DEEPER
At times, on a retest a four lows pattern will become an even lower four lows pattern. This means that the one or more of the macromineral levels (calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium) will decline further on a retest.
We call this digging deeper pattern. It indicates that a person is delving more deeply into traumas or other blockages that caused or contributed to the four lows pattern.
This is not a problem at all. It usually resolves on its own on the next hair tissue mineral retest.
-
OUT OF FOUR LOWS
OUT OF FOUR LOWS!! - GREAT WORK - You have navigated through a deep healing and retracing process.
-
YOU HAVE COME OUT OF FOUR LOWS INTO FAST OXIDATION
Adults should exit a four lows pattern into a slow oxidizer pattern. Rarely, a person exits into a fast oxidizer pattern. This is called backing out of four lows or coming out backwards. It occurs during some development programs and is okay.
However, at times, if this occurs, the person will soon go back into four lows, perhaps bouncing in and out of the pattern several times, until they finally exit into slow oxidation.
There is nothing 'good' or 'bad' about this situation it is just what the body needs to do at the time in order to heal.

LEAVING THE CULT!

It is considered a positive change pattern on a retest. Often, the client reports feeling more energetic, and symptoms of fatigue and exhaustion, and perhaps depression, may improve.

SETTLING DOWN
This pattern is present on a retest hair mineral analysis whenever the levels of all four of the macrominerals – calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium – decrease on a retest. It is also present, to a lesser degree, when 1, 2 or 3 macrominerals decrease on a retest, provided the other macrominerals remain the same as on the previous test.
This pattern indicates a relaxation of the body in a curious way. It is as though the person settles in for the long haul, and is more stable in his or her health. Often, with this pattern in the macrominerals, there is an elimination in progress of the amigos (iron, manganese, aluminum, nickel, chromium, for example), or in some other toxic metals such as copper or cadmium.
Settling down pattern is considered a very positive health indicator.
Variants. These include:
1. The pattern can be mild or more extreme. It is mild if the mineral levels decrease just a little. The pattern is more dramatic if the numbers all decrease significantly. Both are excellent.
Super Settling. The definition of this pattern is when all four macrominerals decrease 50% or more on a retest mineral analysis. It is more intense than just a settling down pattern.
2. Double settling down is a settling down pattern on the first four macrominerals, and a settling down on the second four minerals on an ARL chart (iron, copper, manganese and zinc).
3. One can settle down into four lows. This is usually a healing four lows pattern, and very good.

COPPER SPIKE PATTERN
This pattern is associated with intense fear and perhaps suicidal thoughts.
Zinc up at least 2 mg%, provided that the zinc was less than 13 mg% on the first test. - This is a JOY pattern
-
YOUR ZINC IS VERY HIGH
When we see a zinc level this high it is usually an abnormal reading.
This usually happens when someone is using 'Selsun Blue' or sometimes 'Head and Shoulders Shampoo'. Please stop using this shampoo if possible.
AMIGOS DUMPING
“amigo dump” –iron, manganese, aluminum all dumping. The amigos or irritants are oxidants in the body
and can cause any imaginable symptom
Dumping these can cause a huge amount of symptoms. In general. Aluminum causes a lot of forgetfulness and brain numbness. Iron can cause anger and irritability and manganese can literally make you feel 'mad'. Combining these 3 things together can feel turbulent at times but very good to get them out!!

Increased vitality indicator and improved protein synthesis.
PHOSPHORUS INCREASED BY 2MG%
This pattern is called perking up. It indicates an improvement in the rate of biosynthesis or protein synthesis.
PHOSPHORUS INCREASED BY 5MG%- NEW PERSON
If the phosphorus level rises 5 mg% or more, it is a new person pattern.

PHOSPHORUS HAS DROPPED
We call this 'gathering firewood' on a retest.
ALUMINIUM DUMPING
Aluminum is called the soft in the head mineral because it is associated with memory loss and dementia. Aluminum is a soft metal and a dangerous one. It is very common in the environment, and almost everyone shows some aluminum toxicity on their hair tests.
Usually when you are dumping aluminium you get forgetful.

LEAD DUMPING
Lead is called the horror mineral because it is associated with violence, lowered IQ, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity, and many other neurological problems. Lead is a widely distributed toxic metal due to its many uses in industry.

MERCURY DUMPING
Mercury may be called the mad hatters mineral. People who made raccoon skin hats in the mid 1800s in America and Europe developed mercury toxicity after a few years from rubbing mercury on felt to soften it. Many became mentally and emotionally deranged after a few years of working in the hat factories.
Dental fillings. “Silver” dental amalgam fillings are usually about half mercury. I would have them replaced if you have them, as the mercury will slowly leach out of them and into your body.
https://www.drlwilson.com/Articles/MERCURY.htm
ARSENIC DUMPING
We call arsenic the slow death mineral, because it causes rather vague symptoms that slowly poison a person. It affects the brain significantly, and perhaps should be called the dullness mineral because it causes mental dullness and apathy.
When you have high arsenic you feel sense of 'darkness' and 'numbness' towards life. It also causes weakness, fatigue and malaise. It is quite insidious.
https://https://drlwilson.com/ARTICLES/ARSENIC.htm
CADMIUM DUMPING
We call cadmium the macho mineral, and it is one of the violent elements. Cadmium toughens the tissues and hardens the arteries.
It also hardens the personality. Like lead, it is an older male mineral that is associated with macho behavior, violence and horror.
https://www.drlwilson.com/ARTICLES/CADMIUM.htm
NICKEL DUMPING
This is called the depression and suicide mineral, as it is associated with these feelings and symptoms.
Nickel may also cause a person to be “attached” or abnormally dependent on others. It may have this effect by weakening the body or brain in a particular way.

ALLUMINIUM ARMORING UP
Armoring usually indicates a reduction in mineral elimination through the hair, and perhaps through the skin, as well.
In fact, there are two possibilities:
1. Elimination of the minerals is reduced. That is, the body holds on more tightly to these minerals temporarily.
2. Elimination is not reduced. However, it is shunted to other routes of elimination such as the kidneys and bowel, and away from the skin and hair.
In most cases, we believe that #1 above is more correct. However, the second situation is also possible.
Why would this occur? It could be due to:
- A change in the oxidation rate or some other metabolic change.
- A stress that shuts down elimination.
- In order to retrace or process an old trauma or imbalance of some kind. In this sense, it is akin to “putting on your armor” to handle a situation or event. This is why we call it armoring.

KIDNEY STRESS
Kidney stress = a rise of 20% or more in the sodium and potassium levels, associated with a toxic metal elimination. Often, the levels of one or more toxic metals also rises because it is being eliminated. This is generally a good sign. The rise in the sodium and potassium levels is usually temporary. Rarely, only the sodium level rises.
YOU HAVE A STEP UP PATTERN
Components of the pattern. A fast oxidation pattern is associated with acute stress, emotional immaturity in an adult, inflammation and irritability. A low sodium/potassium ratio is associated with frustration, resentment, hostility, cardiac stress, blood sugar stress, malignancy, kidney stress and liver stress. A low calcium/magnesium ratio reinforces the low sodium/potassium ratio tendencies.
Usually a fast death pattern. This is what I call a fast death pattern. It is associated with a tendency for a heart attack, in particular, or perhaps a vascular accident such as a stroke.
It is also associated with arteriosclerosis, angina, cardiac arrythmias, and perhaps malignancy and diabetes.
It is an acute and chronic stress pattern and an inflammatory pattern. It is a running away pattern.
It is fast and reckless, the opposite of step down pattern, which is slow but sure.
Fortunately, a nutritional balancing program, especially if applied quickly, can easily turn the pattern around in most cases.
Step up pattern with four lows pattern. Step up with four lows pattern is actually a good pattern. It seems to indicate that a person is trying very hard to stay in this life. The person may be “running away from the tunnel of death, as best he or she can”.

ANCHOR PATTERNS
Anchor patterns indicate improvement in the architecture or shape or the brain sulci in an area of the brain. They are all very positive patterns.
We are not sure why keeping the mineral levels the same or very close helps the brain. However, we surmise that the similar numbers provide stability needed to regenerate the nervous system.
You can read more about anchor patterns here. https://drlwilson.com/Articles/PIVOTS.htm#PI
Below are the anchor patterns on your test.
CALCIUM ANCHOR
Calcium anchor = Improvement in the sulci in the back of the head. These are less common, and mayhave to do with improvement in vision or visual processing disorders.
MAGNESIUM ANCHOR
Magnesium anchor = Improvement in the sulci on the right side of head. These are quite common and have to do with improvements in language and thinking skills.
SODIUM ANCHOR
Sodium anchor = Improvement in the sulci on left side of the head. These are common, but not as common as magnesium anchors. Sodium anchors often have to do with improvements in language and thinking skills.
POTASSIUM ANCHOR
Potassium anchor = Improvement in the sulci at the top of the head. This has to do with balance and other brain activitites.
IRON ANCHOR
Iron anchor = Improvement in the sulci in the back of the head involving language processing.
COPPER ANCHOR
Copper anchor = Improvement in the sulci on the top of the head. We are not sure of the exact brain activity involved.
MANGANESE ANCHOR
Manganese anchor = Improvement in the sulci top of the head. We are not sure of the exact brain activity involved.
ZINC ANCHOR
Zinc anchor = Improvement in the sulci in the back of the brain. We need more research about this anchor

ADDITIONAL NOTES
-
LOW SODIUM - BASIC BURNOUT
‘Burnout’ refers to nutritional depletion of the adrenal glands. However, it is also a more general term that refers to lowered energy, lowered vitality, and a poorer overall state of health of the body.

DOUBLE HIGH RATIO
Double high ratio patterns tends to reinforce the symptomatology and pathology associated with a high sodium/potassium ratio such as inflammation, acute stress, and anger.
https://drlwilson.com/ARTICLES/HIGH%20NA-K.htm
SLIGHTLY ELEVATED CALIUM
Calcium toxicity symptoms may include fatigue, depression, defensiveness,
muscle weakness, pain, arteriosclerosis, arthritis, kidney stones and gallstones. Others are bone spurs,
rigidity, slow metabolism, constipation, social withdrawal and spondylitis (rigidity and inflammation of the
spine).
-
CALCIUM SHELL - FEMALE - calcium level of 165 mg% + above
On an initial hair test, a calcium shell usually indicates psychological withdrawal, the presence of trauma, and perhaps overwhelming stress, inability to handle stress well, or a very sensitive body. Often it is accompanied by a very slow oxidation rate. The person may also have a hard core, described in a separate article.
On a retest mineral analysis, a sharp rise in the calcium level to or above 165 mg% in a woman or to or above 155 mg% in a man generally indicates a need for protection. We call this pattern hiding. It might occur due to a trauma, such as a death in the family.
Visualization. The pattern looks like a “wall of calcium”, often accompanied by elevated magnesium, on the left side of the chart.
KEY WORDS TO HELP UNDERSTAND THE CALCIUM SHELL PATTERN
Simple key words that can help one understand the meaning of the calcium shell pattern include:
psychological withdrawal, hiding, lowered awareness, numb, calcified, traumatized, depressed, and “living in the bomb shelter or behind a wall”. The next sections explain why these words are helpful for understanding this very important pattern seen on many hair mineral tests.
WHEN THE PATTERNS APPEAR
Calcium and magnesium shell patterns almost never appear in children, and never in babies. They are also fairly rare in the elderly, above age seventy, or so, on earth.
However, they are common in the later teen years, and they occur in adults. They are much more common in women than in men.
A shell pattern is much less common in men, and if it is present in men, it is likely to be lower than in women, in general.
NOTES:
1. A higher calcium level indicates a more severe calcium shell.
2. When the calcium level is above about 340 mg%, it is called “petrified” pattern. This is a reference to calcification, as in petrified wood. However, it also refers to the feeling of being terrified.
3. Any calcium shell pattern, and particularly if it is a double shell pattern or greater, is a trauma indicator. For more on this important topic, please read Trauma Release and Trauma Retracing on this site.

COPPER IS ELEVATED
Copper toxicity is a major problem for most people today. Unfortunately, it is not too known or understood. Copper toxicity can cause a plethora of symptoms that's why we speak so much about copper toxicity in The Development Program.
People with copper toxicity often experience many symptoms like fatigue, PMS, skin problems, insomnia, bi-polar, schizophrenia, memory loss, racing mind, fear, anger, fungal infections, osteoporosis and many many more
MAGNESIUM SHELL
https://www.drlwilson.com/Articles/CALCIUM%20SHELL.htm
HIGH POTASSIUM
If the kidneys become toxic or congested, it can affect the hair potassium level – usually
raising it. This we call kidney stress. It is a common finding on hair analysis retests, but also on initial hair
mineral analyses.
The most common cause of kidney stress and kidney congestion and toxicity is the presence in the body of the
‘amigos’ – aluminum and toxic forms of copper, iron, manganese, cobalt, chromium, selenium and vanadium.
When any of these elements are removed from the body during a nutritional balancing program, which occurs
very often, the hair potassium level can rise for a few months due to a little extra effort required of the
kidneys. This is the meaning of kidney stress.
Kidney stress may also be due to the release of certain medical drugs, cadmium, mercury or other toxic
substances. In many, but not all cases, this will temporarily affect the hair potassium level and perhaps the
ratios involving potassium, as well.
HIGH SODIUM
high SODIUM or adrenal stress pattern- volatile, high stress, inflammation
An elevated hair sodium level is a feature of fast oxidation and an alarm stage of stress. The cause is usually
higher aldosterone secretion by the adrenal glands. This may be due to acute stress or to emotions such as
anger or fright. Cadmium and other toxic metals in the kidneys, along with kidney infections, can also raise
the hair tissue sodium level.
EXTREME ADRENAL STRESS PATTERN
Adrenal stress pattern is an extreme adrenal gland reaction or fight-or-flight reaction. In fact, any time the sodium level on a hair mineral analysis is over about 30 mg%, one could say that it is a degree of adrenal alarm reaction. However, this pattern is defined as a sodium level above 100 mg%, as this would define an extreme adrenal reaction. Hair must not be washed at the laboratory for accurate sodium readings.
This is a common finding on hair tests among babies and young children up to the age of about 4 -8. After that age, the pattern is much less prevalent, although it does occur in adults, at times, more so men than women.

FOUR LOWS PATTERN
Four lows on an initial hair test. This indicates a collapse and exhaustion. It is often a chronic pattern that can last for years if not corrected.
Four lows on a retest only when a person follows a complete development program. This is a healing reaction and classed as a celebration pattern. Healing certain issues, especially issues or conflicts involving parents, may require that a person go into a four lows pattern for a time.
If a person does not follow a development program correctly, four lows can show up on a retest because the person is becoming worse.
READ MORE HERE https://drlwilson.com/Articles/four%20lows.htm
WAYS TO UNDERSTAND A FOUR LOWS PATTERN ON AN INITIAL HAIR MINERAL ANALYSIS
1. At times, an attitude or lifestyle pattern. Some cases of four lows on a first hair analysis are related to lifestyle. These factors include working too much or too hard, being much too hard on oneself or others, being in an oppressed or very stressful situation of some kind, or compulsive or obsessive tendencies that wear out the body.
Attitudes that could drive a person into a four lows pattern and/or keep one there include anger, intense fear, even intense guilt or some other emotion that wears down or depletes the body.
While improving the attitudes and lifestyle are important for all healing, they are most important for this pattern when it occurs on a first hair analysis. Recall that if the pattern only occurs on a retest, it is not important.
2. A yin pattern. This means the body is quite yin in macrobiotic terminology. Yin means cold, expanded, and often quite ill. In fact, four lows can be a death pattern, or end-of-life pattern.
3. An autonomic nervous system imbalance. Four lows always reflects an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system. This is the automatic and regulatory nervous system of the body.
Using the analogy of the car stuck in the ice or mud, the person just keeps spinning the wheels instead of realizing he is not getting anywhere and should try a different way of living, thinking or acting.
READ MORE HERE https://drlwilson.com/Articles/four%20lows.htm
FOUR LOWS ON A RETEST ONLY
(In other words, the first test or tests did not show a four low pattern, and it only shows up on a retest).
A celebration pattern. If a four lows pattern shows up only on a retest hair mineral analysis when a person is following a development program, most often it has a very different meaning.
The meaning seems to be that the body goes back into the tunnel or the “repair facility” for a process of re-planning one’s life because life is going to be extended, and life is going to be a lot healthier as well. It is truly a celebration of life and restoration of life.
An intervention. Four lows on a retest only is always an intervention pattern. I am told this is rather special and means that certain beings work with the person to re-plan the rest of the earth life of the person. For more on the subject of interventions, please read Interventions on this website.
Resolving relationship difficulties. Often, when a person goes into a four lows pattern on a retest only, it is to help resolve relationship issues. Often they are with a parent, but not always.
Some of these issues are simple and can be resolved within a few months or even less. Other issues are old and deep, and their resolution can take six months or more. The duration does not matter. One must not think that something is wrong if it takes months or a year or more to come out of a four lows pattern on a retest.
Uncommon, except with a development program. Four lows pattern on a retest only occurs regularly on a development program, but not often otherwise. In other words, it occurs very rarely if a person follows medical or other natural healing programs.
4. A type of stalled transition pattern from fast to slow oxidation in most cases. This means that the person was formerly in fast oxidation, but the body cannot sustain the fast oxidation. As a result, the sodium and potassium levels have fallen below the ideal levels.
However, the person is not yet in full slow oxidation with elevated calcium and magnesium levels. This is the meaning of a stalled transition pattern. Others are four highs, sympathetic dominance and fast oxidation with a very low sodium/potassium ratio.
This also means that the resolution or outcome as one exits four lows is usually for the person to become a slow oxidizer. This may involve a psychological transition one must make, not just a biochemical one.
5. A possible H-P-A Axis Disconnect or “Disengagement Of the Gearshift” Pattern. The four lows pattern can represent a type of imbalance that affects what is called the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis or H-P-A axis.
This means the normal feedback mechanisms that control the adrenal and thyroid glandular activity are not working quite right. This may be related to excessive copper, mercury or perhaps other toxins that affect the glands and the feedback system involving them.
6. A separate metabolic type. While it is true that a person with four lows on the initial hair analysis can be a fast, mixed or slow metabolic type, Dr. Eck believed that four lows is actually a separate metabolic type. This means that it has qualities and supplement requirements all its own, independent of whether the calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium levels indicate a state of fast, mixed or slow oxidation.
Another stressor has been superimposed upon the basic system of fast, slow or mixed oxidation. This has important implications for the diet, supplements and lifestyle recommendations for this pattern, as explained later in this article.

ADRENAL BURNOUT
Similar to copper toxicity there are quite a few indicators on a hair mineral analysis test that indicates a person is in adrenal burnout. Below are all of the indicators of adrenal burnout on your test. Every x1 means an increase in the severity of adrenal burnout

Adrenal burnout X1
Slow oxidation, especially very slow oxidation, with a calcium/potassium ratio greater than about 200 (ideal is about 4).
Adrenal burnout X1
A calcium shell may overlap with very slow oxidation, but may be a separate burnout indicator.
Adrenal burnout X1
3. A sodium/potassium ratio less than about 2.5. If the sodium/potassium ratio is very low, then adrenal exhaustion is usually more severe.
Adrenal burnout X1
A sodium level less than about 11 mg%.
Adrenal burnout X1
A potassium level less than about 5 mg%.
Adrenal burnout X2
Four lows pattern, also called four low macrominerals. This is a double burnout pattern.
Adrenal burnout X1
Phosphorus less than 12 mg%.
Adrenal burnout X2
Phosphorus less than 10 may be a double burnout indicator.

3 lows, calcium is high
The hair analysis pattern called three lows or three low electrolytes was not part of Dr. Eck’s original work. However, it is an important hair analysis pattern. It may also be named overwhelming stress, skidding, one foot in the tunnel, or almost four lows. It is a common pattern.
Calcium is high and the other electrolytes are low. This is common and often found in slow oxidizers and those with sympathetic dominance. Often, with this pattern, the calcium/magnesium ratio is high. If this ratio is between about 9.5 and 13.5, it usually indicates that a person is eating too many carbohydrate foods (starches and/or sugars). If the calcium/magnesium ratio is above about 13.5, it indicates that a lifestyle factor is interfering with one’s health and that the person is defending this lifestyle factor or attitude when one should let go of it. The hair analysis pattern called three lows or three low electrolytes was not part of Dr. Eck’s original work. However, it is an important hair analysis pattern. It may also be named overwhelming stress, skidding, one foot in the tunnel, or almost four lows. It is a common pattern.
Sodium is high and the other three are low. The name given to this pattern is four lows under stress, especially if the sodium level is just slightly above 25 mg%. It means that the person is close to a four lows pattern, but there is so much inflammation or irritation that it keeps the person out of four lows at this time. This pattern is often associated with sympathetic dominance pattern.

SYMPATHETIC DOMINANCE
A slow oxidation rate AND a hair potassium level of 4 mg% or less
1. A slow oxidation rate AND a hair potassium level of 4 mg% or less
Sympathetic dominance indicates a person who is over-utilizing his or her sympathetic nervous system. In simple terms, the person is pushing himself or herself, or worrying too much.
The sodium and potassium readings on a hair tissue mineral analysis, and to some degree their ratio, have to do with the utilization of this branch of the autonomic or automatic nervous system.
SYMPTOMS
1. More physical activity than is appropriate for them
.
2. Anxious or worriers. This is a form of “running around aimlessly” in the mind
3. Tired, but usually somewhat out of touch with the fatigue and exhaustion. They often feel tired only when they slow down.
4. A very active mind.
5. Willfulness.
6. Fearful and always somewhat depressed underneath due to fears, worries and fatigue.
7. A high copper type of personality.
8. In Acupuncture, damp heat or a weak yang rising.
9. Reduced libido in some cases.
10. Ungrounded and not centered enough.
11. Problems with the first and second energy centers, called in Oriental medicine the first and second energy centers.
12. Often occurs in intelligent, spiritually-oriented people.

AMIGOS PRESENT
Definition of the amigos. These are toxic forms of common minerals such as iron, manganese, copper, aluminum, chromium, selenium, calcium, magnesium, boron and vanadium. Others are nickel, cobalt, molybdenum, potassium and lithium. There may be other minerals that can form these toxic compounds, as well.

Double Low Ratio
General Meaning. A double low ratio pattern is essentially a doubling of a low sodium/potassium ratio. This means it reinforces the meaning of a low sodium/potassium ratio. A low sodium/potassium ratio indicates frustration, resentment, hostility, low electrical potential of the cells, kidney stress, liver stress, cardiovascular stress, and blood sugar stress. It is also a give-up pattern.
Therefore, a double low ratio pattern is a double give-up pattern. We also call it a slow death pattern. The person may feel shattered and just wants to give up and die.
Visually, the double low ratio pattern looks like saw teeth. It has a kind of shattered look about it, especially if the ratios are very low.
In Tibetan acupuncture, this pattern is called stolen yang.
DOUBLE LOW RATIO PATTERN ON A RETEST HAIR ANALYSIS WHEN ONE FOLLOWS A PROGRAM
When a person is following a development program, if a double low ratio pattern appears on a retest indicates that one is retracing a situation from the past, in which one felt like giving up and dying. It is usually benign, although one may have flashbacks of the trauma and may have other symptoms related to retracing of the old trauma.

Double Low Ratio on the second four
Double low ratio pattern on the second four minerals. This is an indicator of past trauma, and very reliable. It often coincides with other trauma indicators such as calcium shell, four lows, or indicators of the cult diet.

GIVING AWAY YOUR POWER PATTERN
A somewhat uncommon pattern on a hair mineral analysis is called “giving away your power”. Formerly, it was called the vampire victim pattern.
Other names for the pattern in Tibetan medicine are “under water - can’t get her breath” or “drowning”. All the names may be helpful to understand the meaning of the pattern.

WRONG TWO HIGHS- HIGH CA, NA HIGH
These are four fairly common patterns seen on hair mineral analyses when the hair is not washed at the laboratory. They can be confusing for practitioners and clients.
Most often, wrong two highs should be viewed exactly like a three highs/four highs pattern. In other words, all four of these patterns seem to be variants or indicate slow oxidation with a secondary alarm reaction.

You are in a four highs pattern
Two patterns superimposed. Four highs is a combination of two components:
1. The high calcium and magnesium indicate an underlying slow oxidation or exhaustion pattern.
2. Superimposed on this pattern are high sodium and potassium readings. These indicate an alarm reaction, or fight-or-flight reaction occurring at the same time.
The combination indicates what may be called a secondary alarm reaction. Extraordinary stress of some kind is causing a partially effective stress response in a slow oxidizer. It is not unlike a second wind that runners may experience after they have run part of the way through a race.
The pattern is also called a slow oxidizer under stress. This term is applied because in essence one is a slow oxidizer. However, some type of stress is present that is causing elevated levels of sodium and potassium.
Most people are very uncomfortable in a four highs pattern and feel better when they come out of the pattern. However, a subset of people like the pattern, perhaps because they like a balanced oxidation rate and they have learned how to keep it balanced. I call these individuals delicate souls, because they are quite sensitive to their oxidation rate and will go to some length to keep it fairly balanced in a four highs pattern.
These are usually bright, middle-aged women, in my experience, age 40 or older. They are often somewhat depressed and angry underneath, and do not want to face the depressing feelings that often accompany a significantly slow oxidation rate.

THREE HIGHS PATTERN - Ca is low
This pattern on a hair analysis is surprisingly similar to a four highs or four high electrolytes. I will offer some observations that have been made about this pattern to date, since it is not a pattern that Dr. Eck discussed at any length that I recall.
The pattern is also called a slow oxidizer under stress. This term is applied because in essence one is a slow oxidizer. However, some type of stress is present that is causing elevated levels of sodium and potassium.

You are in a step down pattern
We find step down pattern is more common in women. The person is often very determined to move ahead in his or her life, in spite of some fatigue or exhaustion. The person is often moving ahead slowly, with this pattern, and doing well, even though the energy level is low. It is thus a pattern of overcoming odds against oneself, and slowly pushing forward in one’s life. One can call it “digging in one’s heels” and moving ahead in spite of obstacles.
Developing the will. One may say that the step down pattern is associated with developing the quality of focused and concentrated will in one’s life. This is in contrast to a step up pattern, which is associated with a need to develop the quality of love and surrender, and to move past the lower will of the ego. I know this may sound vague, but it indicates how the hair tissue mineral patterns can relate to developmental states of a human being.

You are in a hill pattern
A hill pattern can appear on an initial hair mineral test, or on a retest mineral analysis. It appears fairly often among those who follow a development program. It is found at about the same rate in men and in women. It is more common in adults than in children.
MEANING OF THE HILL PATTERN
It indicates:
- turning a corner.
- a knowing, like having a 360 degree view because you are standing on the top of a mountain and can look all around.
- overcoming something.
- a release from a bondage or situation.
- reaching a peak or top of the hill.
- a celebration or joy pattern.
- openness to moving forward in one’s life.
- a yang mineral pattern, and a fullness pattern.
Like being at the top of a hill, one can now “spread one’s wings” and move in any direction rather easily. As the saying goes, “it is all downhill from here”. The pattern may also indicate less involvement in a karmic or difficult situation at this time, as if one is viewing the world from the top of a mountain rather than being deeply involved in the world at this time. This gives one an approximation of the sense of this pattern when it appears on an initial hair test or a retest.
Another way to understand the hill pattern is by considering its opposite, the Bowl Pattern. The bowl pattern is characterized by feeling stuck, constricted, confined, yin, empty, lost or clueless.
more info click here https://drlwilson.com/Articles/HILL.HTMYou are in a bowl pattern
This pattern is associated with feeling stuck, mentally and emotionally, as though one has few options. One is “in the thick of it” right now.
This pattern is often related to nutritional imbalances, because when a person follows a development program, the pattern often goes away within 3 to12 months.
A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THIS INTERESTING PATTERN
To understand this pattern, consider the two ratios that it consists of. A low sodium/potassium ratio is associated with exhaustion, chronic stress, and often frustration, resentment and hostility.
This is combined with a high calcium/magnesium ratio. This is associated with defensiveness. One may be defending a lifestyle factor or an attitude that is not helpful for a person.
The combination of these two situations – fatigue, hostility, resentment, frustration – along with defensiveness, it is not surprising that one begins to feel stuck emotionally, mentally and perhaps physically as well. This is an example of how two interesting patterns on a hair mineral analysis can combine to form another interesting and more complex pattern.

Arsenic is elevated
Arsenic is a common toxic metal. Many people have an excessive amount of arsenic in their bodies. It is somewhat difficult to detect and often causes vague symptoms such as weakness, fatigue and malaise. It also takes away a person’s will to resist. For this reason, it is called the slave mineral.
We also call arsenic the slow death mineral, because it causes rather vague symptoms that slowly poison a person. It affects the brain significantly, and perhaps should be called the dullness mineral because it causes mental dullness and apathy.
When you have high arsenic you feel sense of 'darkness' and 'numbness' towards life. It is quite insidious.

Cadmium is elevated
We call cadmium the macho mineral, and it is one of the violent elements. Cadmium toughens the tissues and hardens the arteries.
It also hardens the personality. Like lead, it is an older male mineral that is associated with macho behavior, violence and horror.
Interestingly, cadmium helps people to “be tough” and take risks.

Lead is elevated
Lead is called the horror mineral because it is associated with violence, lowered IQ, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity, and many other neurological problems. Lead is a widely distributed toxic metal due to its many uses in industry.

Nickel is elevated
This is called the depression and suicide mineral, as it is associated with these feelings and symptoms.
Nickel may also cause a person to be “attached” or abnormally dependent on others. It may have this effect by weakening the body or brain in a particular way.
NICKEL LINK
Mercury is elevated
Mercury may be called the mad hatters mineral. People who made raccoon skin hats in the mid 1800s in America and Europe developed mercury toxicity after a few years from rubbing mercury on felt to soften it. Many became mentally and emotionally deranged after a few years of working in the hat factories.
Dental fillings. “Silver” dental amalgam fillings are usually about half mercury. I would have them replaced if you have them, as the mercury will slowly leach out of them and into your body.

POOR ELIMINATORS
Below is a list of your poor eliminators and very poor eliminators. When you have a poor eliminator it is actually a sign that you are toxic in that metal/mineral but your body at the moment is not removing it. This is often because of poor detox pathways that will improve on the program. After a while you will often see a very low metal/mineral reading rise on a hair test as the detox pathways improve and elimination in the hair begins to occur.
Definition. A poor eliminator pattern consists of an extremely low reading of either a toxic metal or one of the nutrient minerals. The criteria or cutoff point for a poor eliminator pattern is different for each mineral.
Definition of a very poor eliminator pattern. This occurs when the level of a mineral is even lower. It indicates even more hidden accumulation of the metal present.
