“Wandering re-establishes the original harmony which once existed between [wo]man and the universe.” – Anatole France
To wander is to be free. Wandering through trails, parks, forests, gardens and even cities and towns is exciting. When we wander we give up any plans or rules or expectations. Wandering sets our mind free and opens us up to many new opportunities and experiences.
Today you are free to wander. Pick your favourite natural place and allow yourself to wander intuitively. Try not to think to much. Follow your inner attraction to your surroundings and go where you want to go. Be sure to stay safe, remember where you are and respect the natural world. If you are in a protected area be sure not to tromp through the delicate ecosystem.
Wander until your heart is content. Don’t use maps, gps or signage until you have had your full wandering experience. (You might need these resources to find your way home but otherwise try to avoid them until you are ready).
What does it feel like to free yourself from your planning, route-taking left brain? What did your wandering lead you to? Share your photos and thoughts in the facebook group.
